Name: Harleen Quinzel.
Age: 27.
Fandom: Batman.

Personality: Harleen is a driven and ambitious young woman of exemplary talent in her chosen field. She is professional, hard working and dedicated to the study and well being of her patients. Unafraid of a challenge, she has often been pegged a thrill seeker with new cases and patients. Little of her personal life is known by her peers. She is seemingly dedicated entirely to her work.
Brief History: Harleen Francis Quinzel was born and raised in Bensonhurst, Brooklyn, New York City to Nick and Sharon Quinzel. The youngest of two children, she excelled in school and extracurricular activities from an early age. After graduating salutatorian, she attended Gotham State University on a gymnastics scholarship and majored in psychiatry under the tutelage of Dr. Odin Markus. It was through Markus that she was first introduced to the infamous "Joker" case. Her fascination with the Clown Prince of Crime grew and she even wrote her final dissertation about him. Upon graduating from GSU, and with a glowing reference from Markus, Harleen began her first year residency at Lennox. Based on the claim that she was doing research for a book on serial killers, she's been given complete access to the Joker files ... and to the man himself.

Writing Sample It wasn't that Harleen was a rebel-rouser with a death wish. It wasn't that she was curious. She had little interest in other case files. To her, they all read the same: abusive parents, outcast by peers, a single traumatic experience sometime between the ages of 7-17 and WHAM! The birthing of a sociopathic axe murderer. All save for one. He was nameless, though more often than not he was referred to as "The Joker". In her notes, she simply called him "J". This letter was often scribbled on the margins of her note pad during, her big fluffy font edging into unintelligible chicken scratch as her doodling became almost manic, her fingers cramping as she bore down the weight of her hand upon the ball point red pen. "J" began to appear in her personal life as well, the life she kept carefully concealed from her peers. Her daily planner was a mess with tiny J's, big J's, cartoon J's and smiley face J's. It did not frighten her as she felt it should. If anything, it was exciting. Who knew a letter could hold such fascination, could inspire such vibrancy in an otherwise lackluster existence? It was not merely the letter that did it for her but rather the face, the frame, the voice and the charm it represented. She found him charming, which was not at all uncommon considering most criminal masterminds generally were. He was not attractive, or at least not from what she had seen, which was nothing more than a mug shot. Still, there was an allure. There was curiousity; a borderline obsession with her "Mister J."

I'm sorry, but at this time we already have a Joker. However, we can hold your Application on file. In the event that the current player leaves/drops. If you would so wish. Thank you for your interest in the character though. Maybe somebody else might strike your fancy. We have a wanted page if you’d want to take a gander at it. Sorry for the delay in reply. But our Joker Player was on hiatus, and I wanted to speak with her before replying. As if she was returning or not, would effect my answer/reply to the application.
